ok so...i used to absolutely love "the show" by lenka, and the other day i realised the meaning behind the song.

Well, basically I think it's about just laying back and enjoying life, stop fussing and worrying and overreacting. I like that. But then if you look into it more you can find more meaning. Which I shall do.

well...yeh. so many times i feel like i'm in the middle. i'm always average at everything but as the spread advert (clover? lurpak?) says, "the middle is just right". and maybe being caught in the middle isn't so bad. middle people are good. and right, life is a maze. you get lost, you don't really know where you're going and it recquires a hell of a lot of guesswork. and love...yeh well. a riddle sums it up well. you can't read other people.

i think that this is sort of a point like...however much we may hate other people. however much we may hate ourselves, even, we can't be alone. it's human nature - we're a pack animal afterall. by instinct. you will at some stage in your life need help and it just makes sense to keep those who you need to help you close by. you can't do it alone, however much you think you can.
'it's a lot to be something i'm not'
pretty much obvious there really. just be who you are because the effort it takes to be someone you're not is huge, and you could be putting it into something so much worthwhile and ultimately rewarding. you're good as you are.

yeh. i love that. so many things get people down but we need to just let it go and enjoy life. these things are usually so small, and there is usually so much good in your lives! learn to see it. learn to see the good, the amazing, and not lose it because you're so caught up in something that is ultimately insignificant. you are amazing.
'nobody knows they've got a ticket to the show'
i like the phrase 'strangers are friends you've not met yet' and i think thats similar. everyone you come across is in their own show, but they're also part of your show. think...if big brother & i'm a celebrity combined. yeh? everyone is in your life for a reason and whilst it may seem like they're just bringing shit they'll go away. they only have a ticket, they can and will leave when you just let them.

i think people who complain too much go with this. you can't have your money back in life! you get what you're given and if it's not perfect, TOUGH! you have to DEAL with it! again, look for the good bits. 'just enjoy the show'.


i love you all. and i love this song. and only one person reads this blog, but thats ok. because i'm ridiculously happy and yeh i'm stressed and have too much to do, and yeh i'm struggling with self esteem at the moment, but HELL some bits of my life are amazing. so thats what i'm concentrating on. x
